Electrical Insulation Shrouds: Coil Covers
Background
Customer requirement was for a flexible moulding for a large range of different coil covers. Each part had to provide a minimum amount of insulation, be easy to fit, and be cost effective in terms of tooling and unit cost due to the number of types involved.
Solution
Our custom dip moulding process provides the solution to mould a profile product as shown without the need for expensive tooling costs and long processing times.
Verdict
Our customer for this product range selected Runfold Plastics for its experience in product design, and the ability to use the dip moulding process for tooling at a cost of one tenth to the nearest alternative plastic process solution.
